Oral and written expression are emphasized through compositions and oral presentations. Readings focus on the linguistic, geographical, historical and cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking communities in the United States and the world. Practical vocabulary is increased. Computer technology and audio-visual materials are used extensively. Honors Spanish II - SyllabusThis course contains all of the components of Spanish II, but is more challenging and requires additional reading and writing. All language learning skills are more critically evaluated, and by the end of the course, students should demonstrate near-native pronunciation. Computer technology and other audio-visual materials are used extensively. Honors Spanish III - SyllabusConducted entirely in Spanish, this course is more challenging and requires additional reading and writing assignments than a regular Spanish III class. Grammatical concepts are covered in depth and all language skills are more critically evaluated. This class is designed to prepare students for the Advanced Placement Spanish Language course. Computer technology and other audio-visual materials are used extensively.
