Student Life

Welcome to Student Life at Immaculate Heart! We offer a variety of activities for students to get involved in leadership roles, community service and extra-curricular programs. Lead by our Associated Student Body (ASB), there are many opportunities to become involved in campus life.

Explore this section of our web site to learn more about the many activiites and opportunities for our young women to learn, grow and develop socially, athletically and spiritually.

Student Leadership

Immaculate Heart High School encourages students to participate in student activities as a way of fostering and promoting their leadership abilities and their talents in specific areas of interest. The Activities Director works with all student leaders and moderators to insure the overall success of this program.

ASB

Every student registered at IHHS is a member of the Associated Student Body (ASB).  As a member of ASB, each student has the responsibility to function as a conscientious citizen by supporting worthwhile projects initiated by the student council, and by entering into the process of selecting qualified members of student government.

Student Council

{Students} Student leaders are encouraged to seek out ideas, opinions or concerns of the student body, to sponsor schoolwide activities, to foster student leadership within the school community, to give support to student organizations, to act as a clearing house for activities, and to work as an advisory group with the administration for the well-being of the school community.

The Student Council consists of the following elected members who must maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average to be eligible:
ASB Officers, Class Officers and Class Presidents.

Anyone is welcome and encouraged to attend weekly student council meetings. During the summer, the Activities Director hosts two workshops to plan for the upcoming year. Elected leaders learn leadership skills to help them during the coming school year. Historians also attend a video workshop to help them become skilled recorders of all the activities during the year.
