Spanish III - Syllabus
In the Spanish III course, students review structures of the language previously learned, concentrating on more complex as well as new aspects of Spanish grammar. Conducted entirely in Spanish, the course introduces students to new vocabulary for usage in situations of everyday living. The course also serves as an introduction to literary works by Spanish and Latin–American writers as well as to the history, geography and cultures of the Spanish speaking world. Students will be required to write short compositions and prepare oral presentations.

AP Spanish Language - Syllabus

Advanced Placement Spanish Language covers the equivalent of a third-year college course in advanced Spanish writing and conversation. It encompasses aural/oral skills, reading comprehension, grammar and compositions. Students will learn to compose expository passages, to converse on a variety of subjects, and improve reading comprehension via extensive reading assignments in newspapers, magazines, and in classic and modern Spanish and Latin American literature. The use of Spanish for active communication is emphasized.

AP Spanish Literature -Syllabus
The AP Spanish Literature course is intended to be the equivalent of a third-year college Introduction to Latin American or Peninsular Literature course, covering selected works from the literature of Spain and Spanish America.  Because students read and analyze literature orally and in writing in Spanish, the language proficiency reached by the end of the AP course is generally equivalent to that of college students who has completed a fifth or sixth semester of Spanish in composition, conversation, and grammar as well.  Conducted entirely in Spanish, the course will provide students the opportunity to compare works through a thematic approach and to examine texts within their cultural contexts.
