Spanish III - Syllabus

In the Spanish III course, students review structures of the language previously learned, concentrating on more complex as well as new aspects of Spanish grammar. Conducted entirely in Spanish, the course introduces students to new vocabulary for usage in situations of everyday living. Students will further explore the culture, geography, and literature of the Spanish-speaking world. They will be required to write short compositions and prepare oral presentations.

 
Honors Spanish II/ Honors Spanish III Speakers -Syllabus
 

This course is designed to focus on the needs of Spanish-speaking students. It develops conversation, writing and reading skills on a more advanced level. Conducted entirely in Spanish, the course introduces students to new vocabulary and allows them to continue with the study of literature. Students will further explore the culture, geography and literature of the Spanish-speaking world. This class is designed to prepare students for the Advanced Placement Spanish Language course.

 
Spanish IV - Syllabus

This course, conducted in Spanish, strengthens the student’s ability to express ideas accurately and resourcefully both orally and in writing. In addition, students will further explore the culture and geography of the Spanish-speaking world. Text analysis, essays, oral presentations and class discussions are required throughout the year. 

 
AP Spanish for Native Speakers - Syllabus

The Advanced Placement class is conducted in Spanish, and emphasis is placed on the ability of the student to comprehend, to compose expository passages, and to express ideas orally with accuracy and fluency. Oral skills are emphasized in daily class sessions. Students have extensive reading assignments in newspapers, in magazines, and in classic and modern Spanish and Latin-American literature. A variety of media and other audio-visual materials are used extensively. This course prepares students to take the Advanced Placement exam in May.
