Immaculate Heart Middle School Volleyball Delphic League Champions

The 2010 Volleyball season has marked the strongest season of IHMS volleyball to date. On November 10, 2010, for the first time ever, the IHMS Pandas made it to the Delphic League Championship game against Windward School.  This was also their first season to finish in first place in the Delphic League West Division. In three hard-fought games, the IHMS team (the only team to make the 8th grade playoffs that incorporated sixth, seventh, and eighth grade athletes on the team) ended up winning the league championship and making school history. Congratulations to the team, the coaches and the parents of the girls for such an amazing season, for their hard work and dedication, and for playing with more HEART than any of the other teams combined. Go Pandas!

Immaculate Heart Middle School Basketball has a Wonderful and Inspiring 2010-11 Season

The Winter 2010-2011 season was a great one in more ways than one for the Immaculate Heart Middle School Basketball Team. In the past few seasons, the team has merely thrived in their league, but this season, the IHMS Pandas were a force to be reckoned with. The girls finished the season in 2nd  place overall in the Junior High Delphic League. The team was led by a group of 8th graders including: Robin Goyer and Michelle Chastang (whose older sisters are athletes at IHHS), Sarina Patel, Samantha Parham, and Juliet Meth. Lucky for us, all of these incredible student athletes plan on attending IHHS next year.

Aside from marking a great season of athletic performance, the girls were remarkable examples of Christian sportsmanship this year. On Tuesday, February 8th, 2011, the middle school team hosted Marlton School for the Deaf in an exhibition game to promote awareness of the deaf athlete community. The game brought together teachers, parents and students from both schools, and created an atmosphere of joy, celebration and sportsmanship that truly exemplified what sports at Immaculate Heart are really about. We are so thankful that these girls were excellent stewards of the Immaculate Heart mission this basketball season.
