What do you hope students take from your classes?
We are all born with inalienable rights of life, liberty and property. The extent to which our rights are honored depends largely on the government and economy we choose. Choosing well requires informed, active citizenship.
What is something special about working at Immaculate Heart?
Moderating class discussions. In my 15 years at Immaculate Heart, I have found students to be informed, assertive and gracious. It’s common for them to openly and respectfully share their thinking and help each other deepen their understanding of the material.
What advice would you give to students looking at Immaculate Heart?
They can expect a safe, civil environment where it is possible to relax, make friends and focus on learning.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
After a particularly good lesson, I like to go to the quad to relax and reflect.
