"Reunion Show" On Campus

When Immaculate Heart moved online in March 2020, we left behind the Genesians’ all-but-finished production of “Caroline, or Change,” and despite our hopes, the cast and crew never got the chance to stage the show…until now! Members of the original cast and crew, along with seven alumnae from as far back as 2011, will return to campus to perform a “Reunion Show” of “Caroline, Or Change” from Thursday, July 29, through Sunday, August 1.

The musical tells the story of Caroline Thibodeaux, a black maid in 1963 Louisiana. Caroline is trying to navigate the insurmountable tasks of the world she lives in, against the backdrop of the civil rights movement. In the face of racism and classism, she constantly asks herself, “Am I enough? Am I worthy? What is my worth?”

Join us to share this important, and still-timely, story with our returning cast and alumnae.

Audience members, out of an abundance of caution and to protect our students, please plan to wear masks in the auditorium. Thank you!
A Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls in grades 6 through 12, Immaculate Heart has been located on a beautiful hillside property in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles since our founding by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1906. We celebrate more than a century of nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, social and moral development of students as they distinguish themselves as women of great heart and right conscience.
