All of the traditions at Immaculate Heart involve the creativity of our students and faculty. I am always blown away by the ideas they come up with to make our events memorable each and every year. In particular, I love the Christmas Program! It’s such a festive way to head off to winter break. Students come together by class and club to perform skits, dances and music with holiday flair. The faculty get in on the fun with their own production, which is always a hit with students.

I love that Immaculate Heart has developed a robust STEM curriculum. Getting young women involved in subjects like computer science is something I’m passionate about and our all-girls environment provides students many opportunities to explore these fields, where women are often underrepresented. As our upperclass students succeed and go on to major in these areas, they are role models for our younger students, giving them confidence that they can also excel in these areas.

 

I love traveling and have had the opportunity to be a part of Immaculate Heart’s “Pandas Explore” program. I’ve traveled with students to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, and I look forward to leading more expeditions in the future.
