What is your favorite lesson to cover and why?
I like perfecting the small details of choral singing that create a stunning and polished performance.

What do you hope students take from your classes?
I believe students will comprehend the vocal techniques required to create a beautiful blended choral sound and the proper vocal mechanics required for a solo or individual singer. I hope they will have further developed their love of music, singing and especially choral singing. I hope the foundation of choral and vocal techniques will enable them to become professional singers, choral directors or music directors if that is their chosen path.

What is your favorite Immaculate Heart tradition?
Graduation at the Hollywood Bowl.

What do you love about Catholic education?
I am able to share aspects of my own spiritual journey that relate to music education, as well as life education.

What is your favorite spot on campus?
The chapel and surrounding areas.

A Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls in grades 6 through 12, Immaculate Heart has been located on a beautiful hillside property in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles since our founding by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1906. We celebrate more than a century of nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, social and moral development of students as they distinguish themselves as women of great heart and right conscience.
