Competing in Riverside on Saturday, November 10, Immaculate Heart's Varsity Team, recently named Sunshine League champions, finished seventh out of 44 teams--the strongest finish Immaculate Heart has had in over 10 years!
Immaculate Heart congratulates the outstanding efforts of the runners: freshmen Victoria Leahy and Kerrigan Riley, juniors Emily Alonso, Madeleine Creasey, Violet Marko and Daisy Salinas; and senior Orla Hladky. Immaculate Heart also thanks the team's alternates, sophomores Laura Gulbinas, Nicola Kachikis and Lilah Sitkevich, and Varsity Coach Vivian Ochoa for their support and leadership.
The team will return to Riverside again for the CIF-SS Cross Country Finals on Saturday, November 17. From there, they may have the opportunity to continue on to state-level competitions! Go Pandas! Go Heart!
An independent, Catholic, college preparatory school for girls in grades 6 through 12, Immaculate Heart has been located on a beautiful hillside property in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles since our founding by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1906. We celebrate more than a century of nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, social and moral development of students as they distinguish themselves as women of great heart and right conscience.
