The performing arts program is designed to introduce and develop the skills utilized in the art of storytelling through music, theater, and dance. Students work collectively to perform dramatic material and music of the classics as well as the choreography, music, and literature of modern artists. Each student has the opportunity to create her own personal artistic statements through her original works, choreography, and solo performances as influenced by her culture, values and religious traditions.
Middle school students highlight their performances at the annual Spring Showcase Night and Family Heritage Day, and high school students prepare evening performances for their culminating class projects.
Additional opportunities for students to perform for the school community include major theatrical productions, liturgies, talent shows and other special events. Past performances have included
Anything Goes,
Romeo & Juliet and
The Crucible.
