IH Students Garner Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Immaculate Heart congratulates eighth grader Elodie Szlasa, freshman Georgia Forrest, sophomore Amelia Tankenson and junior Lyra Holahan on winning Gold Keys in the regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition!
Szlasa was awarded a Gold Key for her photograph "Crossing Lines" and received an honorable mention for her photograph "Fairies." Forrest earned her Gold Key for her mixed media work "Disruption." Tankenson received her Gold Key for her photograph "Angels Revolt." She also received a Silver Key for her photograph "Behind the Scenes," as well as an honorable mention for her photograph "Dystopia." Holahan won her Gold Key for her photograph "Holahan Hands." All four Gold Key winners will go on to compete at the national level this spring.

In addition to Immaculate Heart's four Gold Key winners, seven IH students received Silver Keys and honorable mentions.

Eighth grader Indie Butler and tenth grader Kathlyn Park won Silver Keys.

Seventh graders Josie Snyder and Adeline Williams, tenth grader Kathlyn Park, and eleventh graders Addison Alaimo and Ruby Temple received honorable mentions. Congratulations to all students for their achievements.
